Museums
There are two state museums in Harju County (in addition to the museums in Tallinn): Harju County Museum in Keila and the Estonian War Museum - General Laidoner Museum in Viimsi. The former is administered by the Estonian Ministry of Culture and the latter by the Estonian Ministry of Defence. In addition to these two, there are local museums, administered by local authorities: Kolga Museum, Paldiski Museum, Museum of Coastal Folk, Padise Museum (Monastery of Padise), Kose-Uuemõisa Regional History Museum and Rebala Heritage Conservation Area Museum. There are also several privately owned museums with exhibitions on the culture and history of a rural municipality or a local enterprise.
